- Bata Home Delivery is only available for Products which are shown in stock on our website.
- All Orders, booked and paid for, cannot be cancelled.
- No returns or refunds are allowed.

COD Orders
Dear Customer,
Due to prevailing uncertainty in the country and economic distress and resulting fuel shortages and high cost of delivery charges we request you to be mindful of lessening the burden on delivery riders and reducing fuel wastage due to 2/3 tines delivery to same address due to customer unavailability.
- We kindly request you to provide as many mobile or land line numbers for the address that you provide in the checkout stage.
- If you are not available between 8am and 5pm at the address you provide, please provide a “Shipping address” that you are available at. It can be a relatives, neighbours, or even your office address.
- We kindly request that you keep the cash at hand and ready to meet the delivery rider. (Please check delivery time lines section in our terms and conditions of when you can expect your package to arrive based on your address)
- We request you to keep your phone switched on within the time frame of the delivery and answer calls from the rider.
- Your tracking waybill number will be sent to you via email, please keep a look out for this, this will help you track or call the courier provider. You can check your order delivery progress with the “V” waybill number on https://www.grasshoppers.lk/
- The courier provider may or may not send a text message to you with the waybill number, rider number and vehicle number as well before the package arrives. If you did not receive a text message within the delivery time frame please report this to

- For a cancellation, please ring, text message or whatsapp your order number and name within 6 hours of order placement.
- Please note that any cancellation after 3pm on any working day, or after 6hours of placing the order, will be considered as the 1st cancellation and will result in up to Rs400 delivery charge.
- Please note that the 2nd recorded Cancelations/Rejection of an order after it arrives at your doorstep or before, will result in a penalty fee of Rs200 added onto your next purchase from Bata.lk as a COD upcharge fee, as we retain your information for billing purposes.
- Further recorded cancelations will result in withheld orders as your Name and Address would be automatically blacklisted.
Therefore we advise you as a valued customer, in order to avoid being blacklisted, kindly follow the above steps.
Pick Up Orders
- For pick up orders you can place order for pick up at #100, Gen. Sir John Kotalawala Road, Ratmalana (Colombo).
- Pick up option will only accept cash payments at the general counter. No cards, QR payments, cheques or fund transfers will be accepted at the counter.
- Preparation of pick-up orders will take 1-2hours after receiving the order.
- Pick up is only available Monday to Friday 9am to 4:00pm (Excluding Weekends, Poya, Mercantile and Public holidays alongside selected Company closure days)
- If you require pickup within 1hour of placing the order, please call or text message or whatsapp our hotline 071 269 5878 after placing an order.
- Pick up orders will only be held for a maximum of 5 days, after which the order will be automatically cancelled.
- Please ensure to pick up the order from our head office premises within the above given timeline.
- Pick up orders will not be arranged through our showrooms, customer is required to pick up ONLY from the above given head office address.
- Pick up option is available for the convenience of customers living in and around Colombo city limits, suburbs and others visiting Colombo from outstation areas.

- Pick up is only available Monday to Friday 9am to 4:00pm (Excluding Weekends, Poya, Mercantile and Public holidays alongside selected Company closure days)
- Preparation of pick-up orders will take 1-2hours after receiving the order.
- If you require pickup within 1hour of placing the order, please esnure to call, text message or whatsapp our hotline 071 269 5878 after placing an order and inform that you will be travelling to pick up.
Shipping Policy
We are committed to delivering your order accurately, in good condition, and on time. Please note our shipping policy as follows:
- We make our best efforts to ship each item by 3pm on each working day.
- Your order will reach your doorstep within 3-5 working days of the order being shipped(Applicable for within Colombo city limits and suburbs). However in some cases, we may take longer, up to 7-10 working days(Applicable for outstation orders), to ship the order as we may have to procure it from some other stores.
- We ship on all week days Monday to Friday. (excluding weekends, and any Public, Bank and Mercantile holidays where our offices are closed)
- Currently, each order may be shipped only to a single destination address. If you wish to ship products to different addresses, you shall need to place multiple orders.
- To ensure that your order reaches you in the fastest time and in good condition, we only ship through reputed courier agencies.
- While we shall Endeavour to ship all items in your order together, this may not always be possible due to product characteristics, or availability.
- Shipping charges may very based on the weight, number of pairs you purchase and dimensions of the final package after packing. These are additional variable charges from our courier provider and is not within the control of Bata. However Bata.lk will call you and advise an approx estimate prior to shipping and request your agreement to proceed. Thereafter the courier rider will advise you at door the final charge after weighing your package. Check the below rate chart to be informed about maximum variable charges that may be added on to your flat shipping rate.

Exchange Policy
- We are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with any merchandise you have ordered from
- In case you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can exchange any merchandise bought from Bata Home Delivery within 14 days from the original date of invoice, provided that the Products being returned for exchange is unused, clean, and in their original state and packaging.

- Please keep your invoice safe and intact as it is essential to give the same to the Bata.lk store while getting your product exchanged.
Claim Policy
- Bata products are manufactured with the utmost care and stringent quality control is always maintained. However, despite this high quality assurance, there can be few odd defective ones among the millions we manufacture.
- In case you find a manufacturing defect in the product purchased, kindly contact Customer Service – 011-2611337.
- We provide 100% replacement for major manufacturing defects, if the concerned product is brought to our store within 14 days from the date of invoice.
- Claims are entertained only against manufacturing defects and admissible when shoes have been appropriately used. All minor defects will be considered for repair first and not replaced.
Products covered under Claim Policy:
Claims can be lodged only for footwear, bags & belts. No claim is admissible on socks, shoe care and foot care products or other non-footwear items.
Definition of Major Manufacturing Defect:
- For Footwear
- Damaged/Discoloured Upper Material
- Broken/Damaged Sole or Insole
- For Bags
- Damaged stitching
- Damaged/Discoloured Upper Material
- For Belts
- Damaged/broken material/buckle
General Terms & Conditions for Exchange/Claims
- All Products being returned for exchange/claim must be accompanied by original Invoice.
- No warranty/guarantee/exchange for Products purchased on discount or during sale period.
- Products / Product sold under any promotional scheme including but not limited to discount coupons / gift coupons issued under any promotional scheme of BIL or any third party will not be eligible for exchange & Claim/Refund.

- For Exchange or Claim, it is mandatory to have the Products inspected by the Bata.lk online store personnel and to return the article to our Bata.lk warehouse, upon approval of exchange/claim
- Bata Srilanka will only offer a replacement against any merchandise available at the Bata.lk online store, at the time of the exchange/claim being made. Not for any product that is not in the store at the time of exchange/claim being made.
- Replacement against exchange/claims will be subject to availability of the same product. Incase, the same product is not available at the Bata.lk online store, then replacement will be adjusted against subsequent purchase at the Bata.lk online store for a same priced but different product.
- If in the event the original product is not available in stock, and a different product is offered in exchange, the price of the alternative product exchanged/claimed has to be of the same value. Or the customer will have to purchase another item to cover the full value of the original item requested for exchange.
- The value of the replaced merchandise will be equal to the original purchase price of the exchanged/claimed Products , as mentioned in the Invoice, irrespective of the current price of the exchanged/claimed article, at the time of the exchange/claim being made.
- If the value of the replaced Products is less than the original value of the exchanged/claimed article, there will be no cash refund or credit note issued. The difference will be in the form of a Bata.lk online store (one time use) coupon code to customer to use in a future purchase.
- If the value of the replaced Products is more than original value, the store will recover the difference in cash, debit card payment or deposit of funds against the sale.
- Exchange/Claims will be entertained at Bata.lk stores till 4:30 P.M. only. (Please check store closure days prior to your visiting)
- Refunds – we will not be providing cash refunds for items purchased via Bata.lk, but will issue Bata.lk store credit in the form of an E-coupon code(which can be sent to you via email or whatsapp), for you to use on Bata.lk within a 6 months period.
- All exchanges are subject to a courier fee of Rs400 or the courier fee that is applicable at the time of exchange along with any additional charges for weight of the package. For weight upcharge please check the “Shipping Policy” section above.
- For exclusive products only available at Bata.lk, with “Genuine Leather” Tag, “Premium” Tag, “Exclusive” tag, please contact 0112 611 337 to check if items can be exchanged in store or only via Bata.lk.
- The decision of Bata Shoe Company Of Ceylon would be considered final in all cases.
Offers, Promotions, Discounts/Discounted Items
- “T&C Apply”: denoted on any post, promotion, ad copy would dictate that the discount is applicable only on selected products.
- If “T&C Apply” and “Site wide” denoted on any post, promotion, ad copy would dictate that some products will be excluded from the promotion/discounts/offers.
- Items purchased through an offer are non-refundable, cannot be exchanged. The final sale at checkout (if paid by card) once delivered to doorstep(if paid as cash of delivery) is considered a full and final sale. As such please ensure to purchase correct size and colour at the time of purchase.
- Exchanges will be possible only if size is too small or too big, or incorrect item has been dispatched to you and will be reviewed on case by case basis by Bata Shoe Company.
